Parent & Student Portal Updates
As of Term 2, 2026, we have successfully implemented Veracross as our primary portal. Please review the updated access instructions and system changes below.
1. How to Access Veracross
Veracross is now our official Parent and Student Portal. It has replaced Schoolbox LMS and SchoolBridge. We will also soon launch our customized Pinehurst Mobile App, which will replace SchoolBridge entirely.
To get started:
- Locate the Welcome Email sent to the personal email address you provided to the school.
- Click the “Create account and password” link within that email.
- Once set up, you can use those credentials to log in to the portal.
2. Finance & Tuition (FACTS)
We will continue to use FACTS as our finance and accounting system until the Veracross implementation is fully completed at the end of 2026. Accessing the FACTS portal remains the same as before.
How to Log in to FACTS
We use your existing personal email accounts to make logging in easier. Here is how it works in plain English:
- Go to https://portal.pinehurst.school.nz.
- Enter your personal email address (the one provided to the school).
- Our system (Azure) recognizes you as a guest. It will then ask you to sign in using your Google or Microsoft password.
- Why? This means you don’t have to remember a new password for the school; you simply use the password you already use for your own email.
FACTS FAQs
Q: Why do I have to use a Microsoft or Google login?
A: We use these providers to keep your financial data secure. It allows you to use your existing, trusted account credentials to verify your identity.
Q: What if I don’t use Google or Microsoft?
A: If your email is from a different provider, the system will simply email you a “one-time code” to verify your identity each time you log in.
Q: When will finance move to Veracross?
A: We expect to finish moving all financial records to Veracross by the end of 2026. Until then, please keep using FACTS for invoices and payments.
3. Retired Systems
Please note that the following systems are no longer in use:
- Schoolbox LMS: Subscription ended 31 December 2025.
- SchoolBridge App: Replaced by the Veracross/Pinehurst Mobile App (coming soon).
